Hello to all.

Using PolargraphSD v3.0 2018

i had some awesome pictures drawn jet. But sometimes the drawing randomly (or not?) stops. The pen is still down and the motors are on I guess.

below there is the .txt data. maybe we can find the problem in there...??

(The Data: I did an death to sharpie gcode export. Imported that in the polygraph, did my settings. and pressed draw vectors as usual. then I put it on SD card and go.)

thx m

how can I upload .txt files?

the text begins with this:
C02,0.15,END
C25,PGXXABCD,END
C24,511,901,END
C29,95,END
C30,200,END
C37,8,END
C45,187,70,1,END
C31,1722,1,END
C32,1242,1,END
C09,595,594,END
C14,END
C17,1266,1555,2,END
C13,END
C17,1263,1549,2,END
C17,1267,1551,2,END

... (than just commands like above, but than comes the hole, C14, END or C13, END)
C17,1330,1414,2,END
C17,1333,1418,2,END
C17,1333,1421,2,END
C14,END
C17,1205,1443,2,END
C13,END
C17,1203,1443,2,END
C17,1205,1443,2,END
C17,1208,1442,2,END

is that normal?

The command sequence looks normal, the C14 raised the pen off the paper, the next C17 moves to the start point of the next line, then the C13 drops the pen again. That'll match the G1 Z0 (up) and G1 Z1 (down) commands in the g-code.

Ok, the crashes though... I've had an issue with mysterious pauses in the past, back when I was first porting the code. It would lock up when updating the LCD screen while also moving. I felt I'd solved that problem by not allowing screen updates during motor movement. Oddly, it didn't always actually crash fatally. If I left it for some time (like 10 minutes kind of time), then it sprang back into life and just carried on like nothing had happened.

Does your queue reliably cause the crash? Is it near the beginning? I can give it a shot and try to replicate it. I have opened an issue about this: https://github.com/euphy/polargraph_server_polarshield_esp32/issues/9 so if you could attach your saved command queue to that ticket then it'd be easier to look at.

thank you Sandy!

okay, here ist the command queue file, that I put on the SD card and than to the Polargraph.

I tried to draw it a second time. Than it looked more crazy. The lines where jumping of there position, and where not there, where they should to be. Like the Polargraph was drawing the right line at the wrong position. But it happens by accident. So when I start over again, it could go right or wrong I guess.

thank you for your help
