Nope, it's the sign of the motor driver chips being slightly overloaded. Heatsinking or active cooling can improve it. You could try piggy-backing another set of chips on top of the ones you have https://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=457160.0.

Ohmarinus, Polargraph doesn't use read GCode.
