Before i build anything, i would like to do a initial test.

First step is test the firmware/software communication in the fastest way.
I burned the firmware in an Arduino, and run the controller.
After search and read here (...co.uk and github...wiki) i couldn't find how to use the controller.

First time i open and select ttyUSB0 port, close and open again. In console it says "Successfully connected to port /dev/ttyUSB0", but i always see "Polargraph is not connected".
How i do a simple communication test?

I think a simple guide will help.

    1 Upload image and move.
    2 Select Area
    3 Render Pixel
    4 etc...

Second test: i will connect motors and servo to see if all is ok.
Third test: i will mount and "calibrate".

Easiest way is to check that you get a "POLARGRAPH ON!" in the serial output message when the board resets (when it connects to the serial port for instance).

The board should emit some status information, and then start sending a regular "READY_100" message every few seconds.

The Polargraph controller will connect to any old serial port, but it will only recognise a connection when it receives a READY message.

This page: https://www.instructables.com/id/Polargraph-Drawing-Machine/#step21 is old, but is still a good simple guide to set up, have a look.

Good luck!
