Good result!
Curl_, what pen you use? Ballpoint? Gel? I have tried many times to use both types. But they periodically stop writing, I get skips in drawing and bad result.

The two portraits above have been drawn with a ballpoint refill.
'Schmidt Safety ceramic roller 888'
This was the first time i used it.. (was bought for one Waterman pen, and never used it).

Other pictures, such as the motorcycle , and rally cars have been drawn with a classical ballpoint that every one (school kids and adults) use in France 'Bic cristal' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bic_Cristal

I tried Staedler pigment liner and had limited result. I thought that the pen was empty. But when I ask Staedler Company what are the ink capacity of their pens. (2000 meters..) They wonder if the tip may be damaged when lift up and down with the servo, and suggest to try their ballpoint.

Hope this will help you.

Thanks for detailed explanation!

Fortunately, yesterday, after 6 months of experiments, I also found my own pen. This is a simple ball pen Flair Writo-Metr knot 0,5mm. In the characteristics of the manufacturer: writes 10 km and uses oil base.

Before that tried many other pens (oil, ball, gel) - without success. I take good results only with Sakura Gelly Roll (see my post in this page http://www.polargraph.co.uk/forum/polargraphs-group2/general-forum1/drawing-gallery-for-finished-drawings-thread650.1/ ) But she gives a thick line and dear.

Somehow I want to experience Uni Power Tank SNP-7. She has a gas-filled cartridge, so she writes in any position, even upside down.
